Alex Kleider
New Media 2D/3D Designer

Alex Kleider is passionate about creating entertaining media. Kleider's work is now mostly digital but he comes from a background of paper, pencils, and paint. Kleider is skilled in the creation of concept art; this includes characters, props, backgrounds, costumes, and vehicles. He also has experience with storyboarding for animation and film, illustration for books and comics, product and logo design, matte painting, fine art portraits, nudes, and landscapes. He has studied both 2D and 3D animation, and is also proficient at texture mapping. Kleider has directed three short films, and looks forward to directing future projects. He is a flexible, creative force from pre-production to post-production. He excels in a challenging atmosphere where time and quality count.

My first venture was a mural business. I painted murals for many clients in Vancouver and the lower mainland...Banner for street lights at Kingsway and Joice...Spiniker Design featured in the cover of the International Boat Show magazine...Fireball picture taken at my lounge - featured on the cover of night life magazine... (no photoshop!)Turf war brewing article (not art related).My icy dip story also made the news(not art related)This is one of the rooms in the lounge/gallery that I designed, built, owned and operated for 3 years in downtown Vancouver...I studied 2D animation fulltime at VFS, where I graduated with these guys ....sleeping under my desk. went on to study 3d with Maya software afterwards.

-Concept design @ Radical Entertainment.

-Produced a 3d film, 2d film, and a flash film

-Character builder & animator @ Pork & Beans productions.

-Animator @ murcury film works for Nilvanas Grossoligy series.

-Storyboard artist @ P&B on the Shuriken School TV series .

-Concept desighner for comic book series "the Seeker" @ NoMore Productions .

-Independently producing a documentary film for CBC

-Art Director @ Jollybear Games
